Jewellery Care

How to keep your Lorvelle Co pieces looking their best

Every Lorvelle Co piece is crafted to be worn, loved and passed on. With a little care, your jewellery will retain its beauty and shine for years to come. This guide covers everything you need to know.

Our Materials

We believe that beautiful jewellery should not come at the cost of quality. All Lorvelle Co pieces are made from carefully selected materials chosen for their durability, wearability and lasting finish.

βš™οΈ Stainless Steel

The foundation of every Lorvelle Co piece. Surgical-grade stainless steel is exceptionally resistant to tarnishing, corrosion and everyday wear β€” making it ideal for jewellery you want to wear daily.

  • Hypoallergenic β€” kind to sensitive skin
  • Resistant to tarnish and oxidation
  • More durable than traditional plated brass
  • Maintains its finish far longer than fashion metals
πŸ’Ž Cubic Zirconia

Our stones are hand-set cubic zirconia β€” a flawless, lab-created gemstone with the brilliance and clarity of a diamond at a fraction of the cost. Each stone is selected for its cut, clarity and sparkle.

  • Optically near-identical to diamond
  • Consistent, flawless clarity
  • Ethically created β€” no mining required
  • Brilliant light refraction and long-lasting sparkle

Daily Wear β€” Do's & Don'ts

Stainless steel is one of the most resilient jewellery materials available, but a few simple habits will keep your pieces looking flawless for longer.

βœ“ Β Do
  • Put your jewellery on after applying perfume, moisturiser and makeup
  • Remove pieces before swimming, bathing or exercising
  • Wipe down with a soft, dry cloth after wearing
  • Store each piece separately to avoid scratching
  • Remove jewellery before sleeping for longevity
  • Handle stones gently β€” avoid pressing directly on settings
βœ• Β Don't
  • Expose to perfume, hairspray or chemical sprays directly
  • Wear in chlorinated pools, hot tubs or the sea
  • Use abrasive cloths, toothpaste or harsh cleaners
  • Expose to extreme heat or prolonged direct sunlight
  • Wear during heavy exercise or manual work
  • Store in humid environments such as bathrooms

How to Clean Your Jewellery

Regular, gentle cleaning keeps your pieces sparkling. Follow these steps for best results:

  1. Prepare a gentle solution Mix a few drops of mild, fragrance-free dish soap with lukewarm water in a small bowl. Avoid hot water, which can loosen stone settings over time.
  2. Soak briefly Place your piece in the solution for no more than 5 minutes. This loosens any buildup of oils, lotions or everyday residue.
  3. Gently clean Using a very soft-bristled brush (such as a clean, soft toothbrush), gently clean around settings and intricate areas. Do not scrub hard.
  4. Rinse thoroughly Rinse under lukewarm running water to remove all soap residue. Ensure no soap remains around stone settings.
  5. Dry completely Pat dry immediately with a clean, soft, lint-free cloth. Allow to air dry fully before storing. Never store damp jewellery.

Storage

Proper storage is just as important as cleaning. Follow these guidelines to protect your pieces when not in use.

πŸ“¦ Separate

Store each piece individually to prevent scratching between metals and stones.

🌬️ Dry & Cool

Keep away from humidity and heat. Avoid storing in bathrooms.

πŸŒ‘ Away from Light

Prolonged sunlight can dull the finish over time. A jewellery box or pouch is ideal.

🧴 Chemical-Free

Store away from perfumes, sprays and cleaning products.

πŸͺ’ Chains Flat

Lay necklaces and bracelets flat or hang them to prevent tangling and kinking.

🎁 Original Box

Your Lorvelle Co box is designed to store your piece safely between wears.

A Note on Longevity

Stainless steel jewellery is significantly more resistant to tarnishing than traditional fashion jewellery made from brass or zinc alloy. Unlike gold-plated pieces over softer metals, stainless steel maintains its colour and integrity far longer with regular wear and proper care.

Cubic zirconia stones are exceptionally durable, but like all set stones, they benefit from gentle handling. Avoid pressing directly on the stone or its setting, and have your piece inspected if you notice any loosening over time.

With the right care, your Lorvelle Co jewellery will remain a lasting part of your collection.
